   Oh Charlie Ward

Written by Janet Plantin, Videotaped by Ken Plantin
and sung by friends of Charlie

Because Janet and Ken could not attend the Commodore's Ball, they created this song for Charlie and Janet
in tribute of Charlie being this year's Commodore.   Janet and Charlie asked for it to be posted on the website for all to enjoy.

Oh Charlie Ward, a true Southern Gentleman
You make us laugh with all your funny jokes.
You are our new commodore extraordinaire
Or is this just another yacht club hoax.

But don’t forlorn, another year’s upon us
We’re set to sail and cruise upon the seas.
We hope the gas and diesel prices aren’t too high
And that the sailors have a real stiff breeze.

Oh Charlie Ward, a true Southern Gentleman
You can construct and fix most everything.
You’re nails and hammer really come in handy.
You are the Fairfield Harbour Yacht Club king.

But what’s a king without a queen so lovely.
You are so blessed with Janet by your side.
We wish you both an awesome year as commodore.
Oh Charlie Ward, you fill our hearts with pride.
Oh Charlie Ward, you fill our hearts with pride.
