Georgetown Landing Marina

| Report from Karen: Greetings from our first day of our return trip. Charleston was a wonderful stop for everyone. Pat Martin visited with her aunt for the afternoon while Glenn and Ruth took in a matinee of Monkey: A Journey to the West.. Bill and Donna visited more concert performances and enjoyed a leisurely balcony luncheon. Walt and I found their Thai restaurant and enjoyed Rosini’s Comedic Opera, La Cenerentola. This is the story of Cinderella done in Italian with English supertitles so that you could understand the story. By the time we arrived back to City Marina, it was obvious a lot of other boats had already left on their journey. Pat and Paul were the first to leave and will rejoin the group at Grand Dunes Marina in Myrtle Beach. The trip was warm and filled with flies. (Walt chose to head to the lower helm complete with air conditioning) Everyone is safely docked after seeing many dolphins, birds and very few boats along the way. Tomorrow we will leave early as Georgetown needs the space for their fishing tournament. |
Mark was going to be our photographer because Walt
can't read is memory card.
But since Mark didn't make this part of the trip, Bill was going to take
pictures to augment the stories.
But apparently he is having camera problems too.
Well, the cruisers should be reunited in Myrtle Beach and hopefully we'll be
able to provide pictures soon.
What do they say about a picture being worth a thousand words?
| Report from Janet (back at Fairfield Harbour) Snowdrift arrived back safely to her dock at Fairfield Harbour at 1:30 pm. And guess what... we had no breakdowns and no trips to West Marine on this cruise. Not like last year where we visited every West Marine we passed some even twice. |
