Casper's Marina

Well the cruise is officially underway.   Aquabase left yesterday and stayed overnight at Town Creek Marina.   Walt was having some routine maintenance done on the boat.   They arrived first to Casper's, with Snowdrift not far behind.

A few boats filled up at Casper's for only $3.60 for regular gas.   It might be cheaper to drive down to Casper's to gas up our cars!

We passed Breakin' Wind on our way to Swansboro.
Donna and Rob Bartley were heading back home after spending several weeks cruising down to Charleston.
They were with the club on last year's Northern Cruise and we wish they were with us this year too.

Breakin' Wind

We had our first splash of the trip at 5 pm which also included a Captain's meeting.

Pat and Paul Martin's high school friend Vivian visited them during our splash.  Vivian lives in Swansboro
and they are able to visit with each other every few months.   They will be celebrating their 57th high school reunion this summer.

As you can see, it's pretty cool and a little breezy tonight.
Hope we all packed the right clothes.

Here's a picture of the funny looking ducks
of Swansboro.

We enjoyed a group dinner at the Ice House tonight.
