Dear John:
This is a letter I
never thought I would have to write. I have come to realize that my
heart belongs to another. You have heard me talk about him in some
of my letters to you. He is in North Carolina. Mr. Neuse River
(funny he has the same last name as yours) is a wonderful river. I
think he will take me back. I hope you understand and we can still
be friends. You deserve someone who appreciates all your hot,
Southern charms. Perhaps a winter romance is just a couple of
seasons away.
I got carried away with the passion for new experiences. I wanted
to see places I had never seen before, meet people that were new and
different and enjoy my love of boating. Who knows the real reason?
I am now on my way
home with my fellow travelers. Please accept my thanks you for all
your kindness and attention. I appreciate all that you have done
for my fellow travelers and me.
You won’t be
hearing from me again. Ado, farewell, you will always be fond
memories.
