THE TIDES INN TROPHY

Judy wins special prize

George isn't too sure he wants to get in the water.
He'd rather kayak from the dock.
He's still reeling from the Chesapeake.

George plays in the FHYC
Croquet Tournament.
He likes croquet better than golf.

CROQUET COMPETITION

Three croquet games produce finalists for Championship game.
Bernie  -   Nancy   -   Judy
compete for the ultimate prize.

And the winner was...    Nancy

We have a new neighbor.    A measly 80 footer.
What we want to know is... what did this guy do for a living?

The group is all dressed up for dinner at the Tides Inn

Now you see it....

Now you don't.

Report by
Marcia
Annie Girl and Marlyn had an easy trip from York River to Portsmouth on Wednesday.  We were warmly greeted by the staff at Tidewater.  We spent the afternoon relaxing, the strolled through Old Town on our way to an early dinner at Lobcauser.  Soft shell crab and scallop dinners or $7.99 each--what a deal!  Thursday morning started with bloody Marys and a hearty breakfast of bacon, eggs, and grits on the dock.  We took the ferry to Norfolk (senior rate of 75 cents,  correct change only).  The "boys" spent the day at Nautilus and the "girls". went to McArthur Center shopping.   We met back at the dock for splash and were joined by other boaters and their dogs.  Early to bed  for an early start for the Dismal Swamp and Elizabeth City tomorrow.
